Girl Scouts Together
This might be one of the first songs ever taught when you join Girl Scouts! This song was actually an Honorable Mention from the Girl Scout Nation Song Contest in 1941. Way to go, Gladys Cornwall Goff!
Girl Scouts together, That is our song,
Winding the old trails, rocky and long.
Leaning our motto, living our creed,
Girl Scouts together in every good deed.Girl Scouts together, Happy are we,
Friendly to neighbors far over the sea,
Faithful to country, loyal to home,
Known as true Girl Scouts wherever we roam.

The copy of the Girl Scout Song I have s
states that this was the runner-up in the 1941 contest. What was the winner in this contest?
I would like to know what the winning song was in the contest of 1941. I noticed that the current sing was the runner up.
Can you tell me where si might obtain a copy of that winning song?
I’m sorry I don’t know what the winner was! This is the only version I’ve ever known.
The winning song that year was about Sacagawea, the Native American woman who guided Lewis and Clark. I have never heard it or seen the sheet music
