Boom Chicka Boom

Boom Chicka Boom

The styles for this song can be changed or expanded on.  You can easily let the girls come up with their own versions and let their creativity take over.  Basically, the main part is just re-sung with the different vocal styles.  This is a repeat back style song, where the song leader sings the line and the girls sing it back.

I said a boom chick-a boom
I said a boom chick-a boom
I said a boom chick-a rock-a chick-a rock-a chick-a boom
Uh-huh
Oh yeah
One more time…

Change style each time
Italiano style (boomba, rrrock-a)
Valley girl style (like, I said, like, a boom chicka boom)
Astronaut style (zoom chick-a zoom, take a rocket to the moon)
Opera Style
Janitor Style (broom sweep a broom, sweep-a mop-a)
Underwater style (using your finger to make underwater noises on your lips)
Southern Belle style (heavy Southern accent)
Broadway Musical Style (sing to the back of the room)
Etc.

  3. I wrote this song in elementary school when I was in 4th grade and someone stole it. I am 31 yrs old now. It is originally a chearleading song since I wrote it for my field day cheerleading performance. There are so much more lyrics to it but I won’t even share it because It still really hurts that my song was stolen and now sang by kids all over the USA. I wish I knew how to copywrite when I was that young. I wish I copywritten it.

  4. LOL marina – we sang it in 1983 at Camp May Flather – i’m sure you thought you came up with it , but all these songs have been circulating for a long time 🙂

Sally- I looked up the publishing and copywriter records and it actually appears that the song with the exact lyrics “I said a book Chicka boom, I said a book Chicka book, I said a rocka Chicka rocka Chicka boom Chicka boom.” Was copywriter in 2002 with district 10. This is the district that I went to school in. The song you are referring to is a song written in 1953 by Bob Merrill. Who’s lyrics are not the same exact ones that I wrote. Maybe fact checking will help you backing up your claims. I know I wrote those lyrics in that exact way as a young girl and someone stole them. No way was it sang that exact way in 1983.
